Fresno Stations Knocked off the Air

A storm passed through Fresno last night, dumping 2 inches of rain in just an hour and knocked both KSEE and KGPE off the air.

The storm hit as the newsroom was working on the 11PM newscast. It soon became apparent that there would be no newscasts going out over the air.

With no power, station technicians and other staff had to figure out how to do a broadcast. It was eventually decided that news vans could be used as generators to power enough cameras and lights to put up two broadcasts online via Facebook Live – one for KSEE24 and one for KGPE.

Viewers didn't seem so worried about losing the newscast on air, but they were mad as hell that  they were missing "The Big Bang Theory."

Because, let's be honest, you can live without news, but not Sheldon Cooper.
