Raise your hand if you know what a PIP is? OK, everyone put your hands down.

If you've been in TV for 5 minutes, you're aware of the dreaded 'Performance Improvement Plan'. It's that nebulous process by which TV stations fire people.

FTVLive is hearing that Nexstar has put one of its top 40 western states GMs on a PIP. Apparently, after 3 years of not making budget, Perry Sook has had it. Sources tell us this GM has until April to start contributing to Sook's profit margin, or face unemployment.

Hmmmm.....3 years? We're surprised Nexstar doesn't have GM's on 'commission only', compensation packages.
