CNN Takes It's Ball and Goes Home
/CNN is upset that Vice President Mike Pence was scheduled to appear on NBC’s Meet the Press, ABC’s This Week, CBS’s Face the Nation, and Fox News Sunday, but not on their network.
It's like having the popular kid in school go to everyone's birthday party except yours.
So, CNN decided to take their ball and go home.
The one time cable news network is mad because the White House did not offer Pence to them. CNN media Critic Brian Stelter turned into a big deal on his ironically named Reliable Sources show on Sunday.
Of course, back when the Obama administration offered up Secretary of State John Kerry to everyone but Fox News in 2014, you didn't hear a peep out of CNN or Brian Stelter.
CNN says that the White House did offer up Kellyanne Conway, but that the network declined the offer.
Some would argue that Conway and her "alternative facts" is a much better interview than boring Mike Pence. But, if CNN couldn't have the "cool kid", they weren't settling for the "crazy kid."
Once again, CNN wants to blame President Trump for this, when they should only be looking into the mirror. When you give up covering real news and become nothing more than a joke of a network, don't expect the White House or anyone else to take you seriously.
Sorry Jeff Zucker, but you can't have it both ways.
Now, there is a lot that you can criticize the White House for in its new administration so far, but dissing and freezing out CNN is not one of those things.
Despite what Brian Stelter is saying....
