Another Sign the Sinclair/Tribune Deal is All But Done
/FTVLive has been says for months that Sinclair's deal to buy Tribune is all but done.
Many are still holding out hope that somehow the FCC or Congress steps in and stops the deal from happening. Although that is wishful thinking, it's not going to happen.
Sinclair has the FCC and Donald Trump in their hip pocket and they know that the deal is happening.
Want more proof?
Tribune Media's Chairman, Bruce Karsh, stepped down from the board on Oct. 26 and will not be replaced.
Tribune is so sure the deal is going through that they said that it will neither replace Karsh as chairman nor appoint a new director in his place.
When the Chairman leaves the company and the company isn't even putting someone as "acting" in his place, this deal is done.
Tribune is going to Sinclair and the broadcast industry as a whole will not be in a better place.
That is the reality of all of this.
