Longtime DC Anchor to Leave

Another longtime staffer is leaving WJLA in DC.

The station announced in a press release that Main Anchor Leon Harris is leaving the station in October.

Harris has been with the station the past 13 years.

"We can't thank Leon enough for his service to our station and our community," said WJLA News Director Mitch Jacob. "He is a journalist of the highest caliber, and has been an asset in our newsroom, and he will be missed."

This is the latest in a long string of changes since Sinclair officially purchased Allbritton in 2014. No word on Harris' next move, or if he even has one.
