Gawker is about to have a new owner and it's an interesting one.
Univision has won the auction to buy all of Gawker's sites for $135 million. A U.S. bankruptcy court judge will still have to approve the deal, given Gawker's financial situation.
Ziff Davis was the only other bidder for Gawker. They came in at $90 million.
Univision is on a spending spree to increase it's digital reach and millennial audience. They've also acquired The Onion and The Root, as well as, full ownership of Fusion from ABC.
No word on whether Gawker will expand its sex tape search to include Spanish celebrities.
