A St. Louis Newsroom was told through an internal email that their News Director is gone.

KMOV has parted ways with ND Brian Thouvenot. KMOV GM Mike Murphy told the staff that he is beginning the search for Thouvenot's replacement "immediately."

Thouvenot has been at the station for almost 5 years, the past 2 1/2 has ND.

Here is the internal memo, obtained by FTVLive, that was sent to the staff:

I regret to tell you that Brian Thouvenot has moved on from KMOV. We wish him the best and thank him for his work as News Director. We will begin the search for his replacement immediately.

In the meantime, Amanda Purdum will assume his duties, with assistance from Jamie Hartzke, Bill McCormac and John O'Sullivan.
