KRON to Tack on 10PM Newscast

KRON (San Francisco) the struggling Media General station says that they will launch a 10PM newscast in the middle of the May book. 

The station has fallen on hard times over the years and basically become a non-entineity in the market. 

They hope by offering up a 10PM newscast, they can find some news viewers. 

“We are committed to being ‘The Bay Area’s News Station’ and providing this additional coverage is both an important and exciting opportunity,” said KRON VP-GM Ashley Messina. “Being on at 10 O’clock, when the appetite for local news is the greatest, is a natural evolution to our commitment.”

The new 10PM newscast will be fronted by longtime KRON Anchor Pam Moore.
