Veteran Boston Anchor Leaving

One of Boston's most experienced and well-liked anchors, is leaving. After 18 years, Fox 25's Maria Stephanos says it's time to embark on a new adventure.

“While I only had the pleasure to work with Maria for 11 months, I quickly learned her journalistic skill set, newsroom leadership and contributions to the daily editorial process, were second to none,” said FOX25 Vice President and General Manager Tom Raponi.

The Cox press release says her last day at the station is today. She signs off for good after the 11pm newscast. Call me crazy, but this sounds like a contract/money issue. Who leaves all of a sudden after 18 years?
