Back to the Old Pueblo

Former KVOA (Tucson) Reporter Angelique Lizarde left the station in 2012 to head to SoCal and KFMB in San Diego.  

She then spent some time at XETV in San Diego, but is now headed back to Tucson and KVOA.

 Lizarde has been hired as the Weekend Anchor.

“We are very fortunate to get a journalist of Angelique’s caliber back on our news team,” said Cathie Batbie, KVOA News Director.  “She has tremendous experience covering big stories and from her previous experience in Tucson she knows the newsworthy issues that matter in southern Arizona.”

“It’s great to have Angelique back in our newsroom,” said Bill Shaw, KVOA General Manager.  “She’s experienced covering stories all over southern Arizona and will be a great addition to our weekend anchor team.”

 Her first day on-air at News 4 Tucson will be August 3rd.
