Husband/Wife Newsies Signing off in Orlando

The Orlando market is losing a couple of their news talent.

Spouses Anthony DiLorenzo of WFTV and Kala Rama of WKMG say they are headed up I-95.

"Kala and I will be leaving Orlando for job opportunities in New York City in the near future," DiLorenzo said Sunday in an email. "My last day at Channel 9 is this Friday."

Details about her departure will come later, she said.

"We are so grateful to our bosses for affording us the chance to work together in Orlando at WFTV and WKMG," they wrote. "It's been an incredible few years here, and we leave with great memories. Only now we get to do what we love, closer to home. We're both from Connecticut. As for where we're headed -- stay tuned. "

They married last April in Newport, R.I. They got engaged in September 2012 and worked for several years to land jobs in the same city. He joined WFTV in January 2013.
