Former Weather Channel Exec to Head Birmingham Station

FTVLive FIRST told you back on August 13th that the Weather Channel's Senior VP of Live Programing Helen Swenson is leaving network to become a GM at a local station.

Now, we know where she is headed. 

Swenson is going to WIAT in Birmingham as their new GM.

Word is that they kept the move quiet is the current GM does not know he's being replaced.  

Well, until he logs onto FTVLive that is.
