EXCLUSIVE! Top LA Anchor M-I-A as Sweeps starts

Imagine the New England Patriots heading into the Super Bowl and quarterback Tom Brady is nowhere to be found.

As the all important February book kicks off, KCBS in LA is without their star Anchor.

KCBS primary anchor Paul Magers has been off the air for awhile and it is possible he might miss the entire Feb. book.

KCBS and his Agent Mendes Napoli both confirm to FTVLive that Magers is on personal leave from the station and is set to return, "in a few weeks."

Neither would say why Magers is taking the time away from work.

KCBS morning Anchor Rick Garcia has been shifted into Magers spot and former KTTV and KABC Anchor Jeff Michael is replacing Garcia on the morning shift.

FTVLive FIRST told you Michael was out at The Firm's last November and then we FIRST told you he hooked up with KCBS a month later.
