Here's the lineup for TV's Number 1 news magazine Tonight:
ANGEL OF DEATH – Serial killer nurse Charles Cullen confessed to as many as 40 murders, but some believe he killed many, many more patients over a 16-year career. The serial killer speaks to Steve Kroft in his first television interview. Graham Messick is the producer. THIS IS A TWO-SEGMENT REPORT.
ROSIE’S RUN FOR THE ROSES – No other jockey has won more races this year than Rosie Napravnik, the only female riding in the upcoming Kentucky Derby and one of only a handful of successful female jockeys in the sport’s history. Tom Anderson and Michelle Boniface St. John are the producers.
El Dorado (Arkansas) Police have arrested and charged a south Arkansas man with kidnapping and commercial burglary after attacking KTVE reporter Brea Douglas Sunday night.
The attacked happened as Douglas was leaving the El Dorado newsroom.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Demetrian McElroy, forced Douglas back into the Main Street newsroom, held her down and showed a knife.

After a few minutes of headlines, weather and sports, the station essentially abandoned its late newscast in favor of a commercial-free public service campaign to prevent suicide.
A laudable effort, to be sure. One worthy of praise and thanks. But it turned out to be a ratings stinker.

KBZK launched their new HD News set the first night of sweeps during their 5:30PM newscast to rave reviews from their viewers!
“The set was ready for air five days ahead of schedule even after our rehearsal time. It looks great in person and on camera. We’re already getting positive comments from viewers. What I like best is the great lighting and how versatile it is, giving us many venues for showcasing stories.” ~John Sherer, KBZK-TV News Director.

Read MoreEarly this morning FTVLive told you that the crew at the Today Show is rallying around Matt Lauer.
Kathie Lee Gifford didn't like the criticism of Matt Lauer that she decided to show him some love in a full-page newspaper ad — and got the whole “Today” cast and crew to sign it.
Gifford backed off publishing the open letter this week at Lauer’s request.
We pointed out that the one NBC staffer that did not sign the letter was Ann Curry (no surprise).
Gifford says there was a reason for that "It's not that she didn't sign it. It's just that we couldn’t find Ann."
Has anyone checked to see if she's buried in Lauer's backyard? Or maybe locked up in his basement?
I'm just putting it out there....
When KSTP-TV announced in August that it was pulling Vineeta Sawkar from the anchor desk, it caught a lot of viewers by surprise.
After all, Sawkar had been with the station for nearly 18 years and as a morning anchor is known for her warm, friendly personality. The other unusual move? The station set a May 1 exit date, giving Sawkar time to explore job possibilities while remaining on the anchor desk.
Now that she's got only a handful of days left at KSTP, Sawkar talked about what this last year has been like and what her future might hold.
After the jump see how she's leaving the station with class.
Read MoreJillian Barberie Reynolds posted a message on her Facebook page that teases that she has her own show in the works.
The post on her FB has almost 3,000 "Likes" but no other info as to what the show is?
Maybe she will be will be on an episode of Divorce Court. Just a few weeks ago, Barberie filed for divorce from her husband Grant Reynolds. She cites the usual irreconcilable differences for the split.
Stay tuned....
You know it's ratings when your anchor that was arrested last year, comes on the first night of sweeps and announces she has been fired from the station.
OK...officially she says she has retired, but let's be honest. If she wasn't busted by police she would have been anchoring the entire newscast last night and not on for just few minutes sweeps stunt.
Long-time broadcast anchor Amanda Davis was given a few minutes on WAGA in Atlanta last night to announce her "retirement" from the station after more than 26 years.

Read MoreNBC's Today Show thinks the only way they are going to recover is if Katie Couric comes back on the couch and sits next to Matt Lauer.
NBC is reaching out to Couric everyday to try and make that happen.
At least that's what the National Enquirer says.
The Enquirer reports that with viewers calling for Lauer’s ouster for turning on Curry, panicked producers are desperately wooing likable Katie to come back to the show that made her a star, say insiders. “They’re calling Katie and begging her to return, saying the morning couch on NBC is where she belongs,” revealed an insider. “They want to save Matt and the show.”

Read MoreEven if A.J. Clemente never uttered an f-bomb on the air, the station still may have been wise to fire him.
As you all know by now, Clemente is the Bismarck, ND Anchor who was fired for cussing on his very first newscast.
His video of his awful anchoring went viral and he was asked to appear on several New York talk shows, so they could make fun of him to his face.
He did the Today Show, Letterman, Live with Kelly and Michael along with some other shows.
Kelly and Michael gave him a "reporter job" and instructed him to go to a movie premiere and interview the stars.
After the jump watch what an awful job he did.
Read MoreDavid Hinckley of the NY Daily News does have a problem with very green former anchor A.J. Clement dropping the F-bomb. He just wishes the kid learned when and how to drop it.
Hinckley writes that this week's most famous f-word seems to be the one uttered by rookie TV anchor A.J. Clemente on KFYR in North Dakota.
Yet despite the certification of Mr. Clemente's fleeting fame by David Letterman, Kelly, Michael, Morning Joe and others, I would humbly suggest we might focus instead on the f-word uttered two days earlier by David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox.
Simply put, Big Papi's was a way better F-word.

Read MoreVeteran Puerto Rico newsman Saúl Cordero, current anchor of WOLE-DT's daily news program Noticias Locales, went temporarily insane during last night's broadcast after stumbling over a sentence he was reading off the teleprompter.
Unaware that he was still on live TV, Cordero proceeded to unleash a stream of discordant sounds that immediately drew comparisons to the classic Bruce Almighty scene wherein Jim Carrey uses his powers to embarrass his rival Evan Baxter, played by Steve Carell.

Stations in Dallas went wall to wall with the memorial for those killed in the explosion at the fertilizer plant in West, Texas.
Well most of the Dallas stations...
WFAA8 acted alone Thursday afternoon. And its decision to mostly ignore the memorial service at Baylor University.
It was puzzling if not inexplicable.
