B-More Met Headed out of TV

Some Weather Anchors just play weather anchor on TV, others are really into the weather, climate and all the reasons for our sometimes crazy weather.

WJZ's Bernadette Woods falls into that second category and she is leaving TV News to do more science involving the weather. 

Woods is leaving the CBS-owned station to join a non-profit firm in New Jersey focused on climate change.

CBS's 60 Minutes is going to the archive this Sunday and pulling up their Bin Laden Exclusive for this Sunday's 60 Minutes:

KILLING BIN LADEN --  A first-hand account of the raid that killed the world's most wanted terrorist from one of the Navy SEALs who pulled the trigger.   Scott Pelley interviews "Mark Owen," a former SEAL who was in the room when Osama bin Laden died from American bullets, in his only interview.  "Owen," a pseudonym he uses for security, recalls each step of the mission and the preparation he and the nation's elite force made for it, in order to give credit to his SEAL comrades and the hundreds of others whose work played a role in the successful mission.   This historic account will be in four parts and will comprise the whole hour. Henry Schuster is the producer.

Rob Morrison Spending Time Drinking Beer

From the outside it appears that Alcohol was a big contributor to helping Rob Morrison get arrested ​by police.

Morrison told the cops that arrested with that his wife Ashley went into a "Rage" about his drinking.​

The couple was having "dinner with friends" earlier in the evening Morrison was busted by police.​

Ashley, while talking to Darien cops, told them her “husband is on medication for depression, has attended AA [Alcoholics Anonymous] meetings.

Comcast to Stop Taking Gun Ads

It's looks like yours and my cable bill are high enough that Comcast can now have a conscience.

The Cable Giant and owner of NBC is making enough cash that they say they will stop taking gun ads.​

A report says that Comcast Corp. will no longer accept advertisements for guns or retail establishments selling guns, according to a new policy at the nation’s largest cable operator.

But it looks like there is some loopholes to that rule.

Working in TV news can be stressful and sometimes you just need a day off.

But, you don't want to burn a vacation day...you can always call in "sick."

Here are some tips to get a day off without getting in trouble.

Remember, first and foremost, you are about to lie. This is unethical behavior. The best thing you can do is tell the truth and only call off sick when you are actually sick. Lay down some groundwork. A day before your day-off, hint to your coworkers that you're not feeling well.

Carol Marin is best known outside of Chicago as the TV Anchor that quit her job because the station put Jerry Springer as a contributor on the newscast.

Inside Chicago, Marin is one of the more well respected Journalist in the City. She is about to start anchoring a daily newscast again that only lasts 90 Seconds. ​
