You may remember, on February 7th, we told you about the Weather Anchor that wanted to get the hell out of Buffalo.
Amelia Segal is the morning weather anchor at WIVB in Buffalo. She had a chance late last year to take a job in the much bigger market of Washington, DC.
The News Director would not let her out of her contract.

FTVLive told you the sad news that WTVY News Director Jeff Raker had dies yesterday at the station.
Staffers at the station reacted to the news of his death:
“In my 20 years of knowing Jeff, many of them working with him, I found him to be the consummate professional,” WTVY news anchor Reginald Jones said in response to a request from the Dothan Eagle.
“He’s largely responsible for me being in Dothan, having hired me to help re-define WTVY’s news product in 1997,” Jones said. “He was a great newsroom leader and mentor to young broadcast journalists. He loved this industry and more importantly, loved his wife and two children and he cherished friendships. The TV news business has suffered a great loss.”
“He loved WTVY, and he loved the Wiregrass,” WTVY news anchor Tessa Darlington said. “Jeff genuinely cared about his staff, the product we put out for our viewers and trying to help this community. Our hearts are broken, and we are suffering a terrible loss. We ask everyone to please pray for his wonderful wife and children.”
WTVY General Manager Mike Smith said in a statement to employees that Raker played a major role with the station.
“I know he was proud of the work being done here and was excited to be a part of the growth of this station. We will miss him and we will do our best to continue to make him proud,” Smith said.
WMAQ the NBC O&O and WBBM the CBS O&O in Chicago are locked in a very close at 10PM.
How close is it? They're tied!
The ratings show that the late newscasts of both stations were watched in 203,000 households in the Chicago market .

Sad news out of WTVY in Dothan, AL.
We hear that WTVY News Director Jeff Raker collapsed and died in the station's lobby.
Word is a group of people from the Sales Department did their best to try and revive Raker, but were unsuccessful.
Raker was ND here from 1997-1999 and returned as the station's News Director in April 2012.
When Allison Gollust worked as the PR flack at NBC, she never returned an FTVLive call. Oh...we talked to her and she would promise to call us back, but she never did.
Gollust was also heard by some inside 30 Rock wondering how FTVLive got so many scoops involving NBC? We were the proverbial thorn in her side.
When Comcast took over NBC, Gollust was out the door. She then served as communications director for Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York.
Now, Gollust is back in the TV game.
