Kurtz: Greta Opted out at Fox News

Now when it comes to Howard Kurtz, let's be honest, he's not really a Reporter as much as he is a cheerleader for Fox News and Donald Trump.

But, Kurtz, who does work at Fox News says that Greta Van Susteren leaving Fox News was her idea, after contract negotiations stalled.

Kurtz writes, "According to a source familiar with the process, Van Susteren asked to renegotiate her contract after Roger Ailes resigned under pressure as Fox News chairman following a sexual harassment lawsuit. Van Susteren is one of a number of key Fox personnel whose contract included a “key man” clause allowing her to leave if Ailes departed. When those negotiations deadlocked, Van Susteren chose to invoke the departure option, the sources said. Her last show was Friday, and the swiftness of events did not allow her to deliver an on-air farewell."

There are few things here that bring up a red flag.

First, Fox News basically blew off Van Susteren  in their press release about Brit Hume taking over for her.

Secondly, if the two sides were in negotiations and a new contract, certainly there was time to say good bye. The woman worked over a decade at Fox News and the network is so cold, they don't even let her say goodbye? This is seriously the biggest red flag of all.

Lastly, Van Susteren is a very active tweeter and has made no mention of the separation on her Twitter.

She did just send out tow tweets of thanks to colleagues.

My spidey senses tell me there is much more to this separation than anyone is letting onto. The problem is, cutting through all the bullshit to get to the real story.

Stay tuned....
