Subject: Reporter Changes
To all:
I’m pleased to tell you about several changes in our reporter ranks:
Katie Kim (pictured) is joining our NBC 5 Investigates team. Katie has done a terrific job as a general assignment reporter since joining us nearly two years ago. But her background is in investigative reporting. Before coming to Chicago, Katie was an award-winning investigative reporter at KRQE in Albuquerque where she highlighted waste in government and focused on data-driven reporting. She’ll be a perfect addition to NBC 5 Investigates.
I’m happy to tell you that Regina Waldroup is joining our staff on a full-time basis. Regina has been part time with us for three years, and has earned this promotion with her hard work and can-do attitude, along with her excellent reporting. Regina is a Chicago native and also teaches journalism at Columbia College. I’m delighted that we are able to make her full time.
And a new reporter will be joining us soon. Chris Hush is a general assignment reporter at WESH-TV in Orlando. He’ll join NBC 5 News on October 10th. Before Orlando, Chris worked as a reporter in Pennsylvania and New York. He also once interned at the Today Show in New York. Chris is a graduate of Penn State University.
Katie’s move to NBC Investigates will occur once Chris arrives in October. Please congratulate Katie and Regina on their new assignments, and welcome Chris when he joins our news team in October!
