When hurricane season hits in Florida, many viewers worry that the Sunshine State is due for a direct hit.

So imagine when viewers are watching the Olympics on WTLV in Jacksonville and they hear that dreaded Emergency Alert System tones on the Tegna station.

Then are are told that it is NOT a test. Always a scary moment. But, to then find out the EAS tones are part of a station promo for the Jacksonville Jaguars....what the hell?

We always thought there were serious laws about using EAS notifications in commercials.

Is Tegna ok with one of their stations doing this? How the hell was this spot vetted before it hit air?
