It's always a slippery slope when TV news people get tied to companies or products being sold.

At Friday night's LA Dodger game, the P.A. announcer said this,"Tonight we honor our sponsor, Emirates Airlines for starting their second daily nonstop flight between L.A. and Dubai. Throwing out the ceremonial first pitch is KTLA entertainment Reporter Sam Rubin. Sam recently flew on Emirates had a great time. Sam, the mound is yours."

Now, was Rubin paid by Emirates Airlines? Was his trip he took free?

The appearance of a conflict of interest is never a good thing.
