Last week, FTVLive brought up the idea of a potential conflict with WTTV (Indianapolis) Anchor Nicole Pence.
Nicole is the niece of Mike Pence, who Trump picked as his running mate and has a vampire daughter.
We wondered how the station would handle having one of their Anchors related to the Vice Presidential candidate?
After our story was posted, a station insider emailed FTVLive saying that, "there's been no conversations from management. No emails laying out the rules, but producers try to keep her from reading those stories about her Uncle."
This morning, WTTV finally got around to releasing a statement as to how the station will handle the conflict.
"As you may be aware, Nicole Pence, the morning anchor at WTTV, Tribune Broadcasting’s CBS affiliate in Indianapolis, is the niece of Indiana Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence.
In keeping with our policy to avoid any conflicts of interest, Nicole will not be reporting on any national political news as it relates to the 2016 Presidential election."
