Back in February, FTVLive told you that Tribune owned WDCW in DC was going to start up a newscast. But, there was a catch.
The newscast is being broadcast on the DC station, but it is being produced over 2 hours away in Richmond, Virginia.
Tribune figured they could save money by producing the newscast at their Richmond station and beaming it down to DC.
Well, the DC newscast has finally hit the air and it takes a little bit of lying to pull it off. On a recent newscast, the Anchor was quoted as saying, "Here in the District." Problem is, the Anchor is 2 hours away from the District.
If you're going to lie to the viewers on the little things, how can they trust you with the bigger stuff?
