Let the Powers be With You

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that WABC Sports Anchor rob Powers was headed to Cleveland and WEWS to Anchor news.

With Powers moving in, some room had to be made. Now word comes that WEWS Anchor Chris Flanagan (pictured) is leaving the station for Boston WFXT (Boston) as a weekend Anchor and Reporter.

According to FTVLive sources, Powers will be moving into Flanagan's gig at WEWS. 

Here is the internal memo, obtained by FTVLive announcing Flanagan's departure:

I wanted to let you know that Chris Flanagan will be leaving NewsChannel5 to take a job closer to home.  Chris will be weekend anchor at WFXT, the Fox affiliate in Boston.  It goes without saying, Chris will be greatly missed in the newsroom.  He has been there for us and our viewers for some of the biggest stories this city has ever seen and personally, I’m grateful to him for his professionalism, dedication and support.  Please join me in congratulating Chris on his new gig!  He starts in Boston after Labor Day and his last day here at the station will be in mid-August.
