Buffalo Weatherman Hits for the Cycle
/It looks like former WIVB Chief Meteorologist is going to hit for the cycle.
As FTVLive told you Don Paul "retired" from WIVB last Spring and has been knocking on doors looking for work. He landed a gig with the local newspaper and now appears to be headed to Scripps owned WKBW very soon.
The Buffalo News reports that according to sources, Paul has verbally agreed to join WKBW on a part-time basis in two months unless there is an unexpected last-minute contract snag.
It is expected that Paul will be the Weekend Weather Anchor at WKBW.
WKBW General Manager Michael Nurse, who is on vacation, could not be reached for comment.
Sources said Paul also talked with WGRZ about a part-time position.
His decision to join WKBW means he will be completing a hat trick of sorts in local television. In between two stints at WIVB, Paul worked at Tegna (then Gannet) owned WGRZ for three years.
