Buffalo sources tell FTVLive that one Tegna News Director is calling it quits and getting out of the business.

Sources say that WGRZ News Director Jeff Woodard is leaving the station to become Director of Marketing and Communications at Fredonia (a town South of Buffalo). Woodard was bumped up to ND gig back in 2008, replacing Ellen Crooke, who left for Atlanta.

Woodard has been at WGRZ since 1998, starting as a Producer, then EP and then ND.

No word yet on his last day at the station.
