Struggling Sacramento Station to Name New News Director

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that Tegna bounced KXTV News Director Jerome Parra as the May book was wrapping up. 

KXTV has struggled in the ratings and word is that Tegna is looking to shake up the station in an effort to turn it around. 

Sources tell FTVLive that the station is bumping up its EP of Digital & Social to the News Director gig. 

Sam Cohen (female) is going to be named the station's new news boss. 

Cohen came to KXTV from Tribune, working at at KTXL and then as the Executive Producer of Digital Content for Tribune. 

She also worked at KUTV in Salt Lake City and WDJT in Milwaukee as a Producer.
