Portland Anchor Heads to Houston

A Portland Anchor is heading to Houston and there is no doubt he had an in with the boss.
KGW Morning Anchor Russ Lewis is leaving the station to go to KHOU, both stations are owned by Tegna.
A couple of months ago, KHOU hired Sally Ramirez as their new News Director. Ramirez also worked at KGW and she's married to Lewis.
Lewis wrapped up the broadcast last week saying he is, "off to Houston next week, working for the same company, staying within the family, just leaving this family and moving on to Houston, TX," Lewis said to viewers. "My wife is already there working for the company too."
It is often said in TV news, it's about who you know.
Looks like Russ Lewis knows the right people.
