Fox on Top in Cable Ratings

Fox News hit another milestone in their ratings.

FNC topped basic cable in total day for the month of May, according to Nielsen. This marks the third month in 2016 that the channel ranked #1 among all basic cable networks in total day and the first time ever FNC has done so for three months in one calendar year. The previous record was two months in 2003 during the Iraq war.

FNC was the only network that’s up both year to year and month to month as CNN viewers have started to tune out the 24/7 Trump coverage.

In fact, MSNBC has narrowed the gap with CNN to the closest they have been in quite awhile.   There are only 67,000 total viewers between CNN and MSNBC in primetime and 81,000 viewers within the demo between the two networks vying for second place.
