A Sarasota Anchor is leaving TV news and let's hope he's not up a creek without a paddle.
Max Winitz the weekend Anchor at WWSB is signing off this weekend to become the Communications and Public/Media Relations Manager for the 2017 World Rowing Championships (do you get the paddle joke I made earlier?).
Winitz joined the station in 2011.
The rowing championship will take place in Sarasota in October 2017 and press will be flocking to the event by the hundreds of thousands.
OK....maybe not.
