Pennsylvania ND Leaving to Become Agent
/WHP News Director Mike Bothwell is leaving the trenches and moving over to the agent side of the business.
Bothwell is joining Napoli Management Group this August.
Bothwell has spent the past two decades working his way up the TV news management ladder. Most recently, he was News Director at WHP in Harrisburg, PA.
“Our backgrounds and hands on experience in the newsroom make us uniquely qualified to guide the careers of hundreds of on-air talent in the industry,” said Mendes Napoli, President of Napoli Management Group. “Over the years Mike has developed a reputation in the industry as a manager with a keen sense of spotting and developing talent for major broadcast groups and I am confident that his ability and connections will provide a great addition to the service that we provide to our clients.”
Prior to Harrisburg, he was also News Director at WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio and KTVZ in Bend, Oregon. Bothwell has also served as Director of Content and Coverage at WPXI in Pittsburgh and held assignment desk positions at KDKA in Pittsburgh and WTXF in Philadelphia.

Bothwell will be based at Napoli Management Group’s Beverly Hills, California headquarters. He joins the Napoli team of agents: Jean Sage, Laurie Jacoby, David Ahrendts, Sue McInerney, Liz Sherwin, Al Corral, Gary Brown and Mendes Napoli.
