After just 2 years, KPRC Sports Anchor/Reporter Simone Eli is leaving the station.
"I've loved my time here and have created amazing relationships with folks at KPRC, but I am moving to be happier personally and continue my sports broadcasting career in Alabama (Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area)," Eli told mikemcguff.com. "I've yet to make a decision on some job offers but that'll be coming in the next couple weeks, as well."
You could not have loved it too much, if you're leaving after just 2 years and headed back to a much smaller market.
Eli came to Houston from WALA in Mobile, Alabama.
"I just want to thank the city for welcoming me - the last two years have really been a lot of fun and full of incredible opportunities," Eli told McGuff. "This decision comes after lots of thought and prayer, and I'm definitely excited about what's ahead personally and professionally in Alabama."
Eli's last day is next Tuesday.
