It used to be that stations would rely on top notch talent, great producers and a solid news product to try and reel in viewers.

Now, stations just resort to bribery and sweeps stunts. Like KTNV in Las Vegas that is giving one lucky viewer a fancy new news car to drive.

The station writes on their website, "Watch 13 Action News weeknights at 11 p.m. and we'll announce a keyword. Enter the keyword in the codeword box on the form below. 1 grand prize winner will win a 2016 LEXUS CT200 Hybrid, plus a $500 gift card. 29 finalists will win a $500 gift card."

Now, in case you are wondering, KTNV says they will peel the news logo off the side of the car before awarding it to the lucky viewer.

That sucks!
