DC Assignment Editor Leaves for Fire Department

WTTG Assignment Editor Doug Buchanan is leaving the station and the TV business altogether.

Buchanan is leaving the Fox O&O (AKA The Firm) and headed to chief communications officer for the DC Fire And Emergency Medical Services Department.

"I am incredibly excited to go to work for this city that I love and a fire chief I truly respect," says Buchanan.  

Before joining WTTG, he was a producer at the Pentagon Channel and Fox News Channel. He's also been a reporter at WTTG and at WUSA.
