Saginaw Main Anchor is Dead

The staff at WNEM was rocked by the news that their main Anchor died this morning.

WNEM Anchor Sam Merrill collapsed in his home and was later pronounced dead.  

“Our hearts are heavy here today as we try to understand the loss,” the station wrote on their website. 

Merrill joined the station in 1990, he left for a short time to work in his boyhood home of Pittsburgh but returned in 2002.
