Nexstar Station to Lose NBC Affiliation

Nexstar isn't saying anything, but their station in Hagerstown, MD is losing it's NBC affiliation this Summer.

WHAG the only licensed broadcast television station in Hagerstown and has been on the air since 1970 as a NBC station.

WHAG has made no announcement that they are losing NBC. The GM of the station, Hugh Breslin, will only say, "we have plans to make a major announcement about exciting changes to our service and programming next week."

Lauren Skowronski, vice president of corporate communications for NBC, said in a one-sentence email Thursday: "I can confirm that the affiliation is ending this summer."

Nexstar has owned the station since 2003.
