Injured San Diego Reporter: I've Got This
/KGTVReporter Marie Coronel took to social media to tell viewers that she is doing well. And she showed she's got a lot of fight in her.
Coronel along with Photographer Mike Gold was seriously injured by a falling tree, while covering a story about storm clean up.
“Every message reminds me that I've got this,” Marie Coronel posted to social media Wednesday, referring to messages from friends and other supporters.
On Wednesday, she said her doctors believe she has made progress.
“Never realized how simple tasks like walking could be so tough,” Coronel wrote.
“I am fighting through my injuries one goal at a time,” she continued while thanking the medical staff that is helping in her recovery.
Coronel also mentioned the San Diego woman who was killed by a falling tree in Pacific Beach the day before she and Gold were injured.
"My heart goes out to the friends and family of Nicki Carano, who was killed in the storm the day before I was injured," she wrote.
