Trevor Takes Over

Trevor Noah finally got to stop talking about doing The Daily Show and got to actually do it.

Noah kicked off his new gig as the host of Comedy Central's Daily Show, replacing Jon Stewart. First reviews say that Noah was on the mark and did well on his first night out.

Noah knows filling the shoes of Stewart is a tall task and he didn't mind saying so last night. “I can only assume that this is as strange for you as it is for me,” he said. “Jon Stewart was more than just a late-night host, he was often our voice, our refuge, and in many ways our political dad, and it’s weird because dad has left ... now it feels like the family has a new stepdad, and he’s black.”

It appears that the show might be in good hands after all.
