Actor calls NY Anchors "Clowns" after Appearance

Actor Christopher Jackson, who plays George Washington in the Broadway smash “Hamilton,” was interviewed onWNYW's “Good Day New York” by anchors Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto who were were dressed in colonial garb and poked fun at the production.

Jackson was not impressed and he took to social media, “Can’t remember a time where I found myself having to try so hard to NOT be embarrassed for someone,” Jackson wrote on Facebook. “What some people fail to realize . . . when you try to take the piss at something you know NOTHING about, you risk making yourself look incredibly small, petty, and uniformed (sic). I KNOW what I do. Will ALWAYS comport myself and act in an honorable way, especially when I’m talking about my art/work. I’ve never been a bafoon (sic) in MY work. Clowns.”

The anchors, whose comedy segments have helped their ratings, admitted they hadn’t seen the show and performed a rap.

Jackson, who was composed on air, tweeted this after his appearance on the news:

A Fox rep said, “Our circus is No. 1. Lighten up.”
