Are DiSy and Robin Roberts in a Rivalry?

Page Six is trying to say that a rivalry is brewing between Diane Sawyer and Good Morning America Anchor Robin Roberts.

And they are pointing to Caitlyn Jenner as proof. 

The gossip page writes that despite Robin Roberts getting a backstage interview with Caitlyn Jenner at the ESPYs, TV insiders whispered the seasoned sports reporter and “GMA” co-host was unhappy that she was overshadowed by Jenner’s fawning gratitude toward Diane Sawyer, with whom Jenner first discussed her transition to a woman in April.

After Jenner reached for Sawyer’s hand as she walked to the stage to accept her award and thanked Sawyer from the stage, sources told us that Roberts believes, “Diane is trying to steal her thunder,” amid whispers of a huge rivalry between the TV pair.

But an ABC rep insisted: “This is silly. With 8 million watching, ABC News was lucky to have two of their biggest stars at the ESPYs. Robin and Diane call themselves Thelma and Louise because they root for each other. Someone is trying to create drama where there is none.”
