Pickel Packs Up and Heads Back to Arizona

WKYC (Cleveland) Anchor Kris Pickel is leaving the station and headed back to Arizona. 

For years, Pich=kel anchored the news at KOLD in Tucson, this time she will be up the road in Phoenix. 

KPHO in Phoenix has hired Pickel to anchor its evening newscasts alongside Sean McLaughlin starting in June.

“Kris is an amazing storyteller,” said KPHO GM Ed Munson “She has a unique ability to connect with people while telling their stories. This genuine passion for journalism shines through with Kris and is evidenced by her numerous accolades and awards.”

Pickel came to Cleveland in 2012 from Sacramento. Before SacTown, Pickel was in Tucson.
