Leaving TV for Technology Job
/Michael Gay was VP of Interactive Media for the Journal Broadcast Group. When Scripps took over the Journal stations, Gay decided to put TV news in his rear view mirror and moved into the technology world.
Gay has taken a job with NDN, a Digital Media Exchange platform for online news publishers. So, while he is leaving TV news, he will still be working with local stations.
NDN named Gay the VP, Local Broadcast. In this role, Gay will have overall management of NDN’s relationships with local broadcasting partners and will develop and lead a multi-year strategy for NDN’s local television business.
“Michael’s experience in the local broadcast industry makes him an ideal candidate to strengthen NDN’s leadership position in the supply of local news content,” says Jill Peters, Chief Digital Officer at NDN.
“NDN created a best in class video solution for local broadcast publishers,” says Gay. “NDN enables innovation and monetization well beyond what publishers could accomplish on their own. I am honored to now be a part of this team and to accelerate video growth for local broadcasters across the industry.”
