Closing Arguments Set for Lawsuit Against KNBC

The closing arguments are set for 9:00 AM on Thursday in Frank Snepp’s age discrimination lawsuit against NBC News in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Snepp seeks compensatory damages and punitive damages for wrongful termination at age 69 from his job as an investigative producer/reporter at KNBC.

Snepp, now age 72, filed an age discrimination lawsuit against NBC News on October 1, 2013.  From February 2005 to October 1, 2012, KNBC employed him as an investigative producer/reporter.

On October 1, 2012, he was fired by KNBC News director Steve Carlston, who cited no cause and who informed him that his “content producer position” was being eliminated.  Yet, KNBC was still producing investigative news stories and was keeping its three much younger investigative producers on staff.

While testifying at the trial Snepp claimed that KNBC had, "Set me up to fail."
