MSNBC Has a Big Friday Night

MSNBC pulled some big numbers on Friday night. How big?

The networked topped Fox News in the demo for the first time since 2014.

 It was all thanks to the network's  “First in the South Democratic Candidates Forum.”  From 8-10PM.

Early Nielsen numbers show that MSNBC ranked #1 in the 25-54 demo (417,000) and was #2 in the total viewers (2,332,000 vs. FNC 2,435,000). 

From 9-10PM ET, MSNBC’s viewership grew and was #1 in total viewers (2,447,000 vs. FNC 2,114,000).  In the demo, it was MSNBC’s first win over FNC since 2014 and the largest win over CNN (417,000 vs. CNN’s 103,000) since 2012. 

In total viewers, it was MSNBC’s biggest win over CNN since 2011 and from 9-10PM ET, the first win over FNC since 2012.
