Fake! Fake! Fake!

OK, the idea that the News Anchors fell for this is a bit unsettling.

KPNX (Phoenix) weatherman James Quinones was doing a live shot on guys carving ice sculptures.

Quinones then "accidentally" bumped into one of the carver's sculptures and it fell over and broke.

It was so obviously staged that it wasn't even funny. Yet, somehow it appears the Anchors back in the studio actually bought the prank. Or they are much better actors than Quinones is.

Did Phoenix weatherman James Quinones of KPNX-TV accidentally destroy an ice sculpture on live TV or was it a sweeps stunt? Maybe the anchors weren't in on the gig, but it sure looks like Quinones put a little shoulder into the shove.

By the way, this isn't the first time this prank has been pulled. Let's go back 5 years ago.

Once again, the acting is awful.

Orange County California Fair coverage, reporter puts his paws on something he shouldn't have! Oh man, how do you play THAT off?!! Something tells me management can't fix this... 7/30/2010 UPDATE: See KOCE-TV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2E4expaBieg posted their own video w/ explanation. :)
