Forget Something?

Remember when FTVLive caught WPLG (Miami) buying fake Twitter followers to the station's account?

Then after getting caught, WPLG said it was all part of a sweeps story and that they would be deleting the fake followers.

That was back in October, so how many followers has WPLG deleted? 

The station bought well over 50,000 fake followers and back when we did the story, WPLG had a total of 123,000 followers on Twitter.

After saying they would delete the followers they bought, we checked this morning and the station is now up to 126,000 followers.

No word if the 3,000 that they tacked on are real or fake, but they clearly did not delete the fake followers they bought. 

Not exactly the most trusted name in news.
