Waves from GOP Debate Carry Over for Fox Business
/Tuesday's big viewer bump for the GOP debate on Fox Business Network carried over to yesterday as well.
The debate helped the channel score its highest rated business day ever.
On Wednesday, November 11th, FBN pulled in 192,000 total viewers for business day, up 98% when compared to the previous day. In the A25-54 demo, FBN scored 45,000 viewers – which was a 221% increase and placed FBN above CNBC for business day in the ratings by 13% for the first time ever.
The highest rated show of the day was Maria Bartiromo’s Mornings with Maria, which she anchored live from the Milwaukee Theatre. The 8am hour saw 317,000 total viewers and 65,000 in the demo, which was set a new record for the debate moderator. The show also delivered FBN’s highest rated 6-9a/ET telecast ever with 271,000 total viewers and 73,000 in the demo.
The ratings momentum continued through Varney & Co, hosted by Stuart Varney which saw 275,000 total viewers and 64,000 in the demo – marking the networks highest rated 9a-12p/ET telecast ever. Fellow moderator Neil Cavuto also posted big numbers with 188,000 total viewers and 32,000 in the demo – also, besting CNBC during his 12-2p/ET show which he anchored from the Theatre as well. In addition, FBN beat CNBC every hour from 5am-11am/ET in both total viewers and the demo.
