2015 is off to a good start for Brian Williams and NBC Nightly News.

NBC Nightly News topped the ratings in both total viewers and all key demos for the week of January 12-16, 2015, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Nightly has now been #1 among viewers A25-54 in 6 of the past 7 weeks and 8 of the last 11 weeks, and is leading ABC’s “World News Tonight” by +12,000 viewers A25-54 season-to-date.

The NBC broadcast is posting +1% growth in total viewers versus the previous year and delivering its best start to a season since 2005.

Nightly has now been the #1 evening newscast in total viewers for 278 consecutive weeks.
