Can CBS Sports Star Pull a Marv Albert?

FTVLive told you on Saturday that CBS Sports Basketball analyst and former NBA player Greg Anthony has been arrested and charged with soliciting a prostitute.

CBS and Turner Broadcasting quickly announced he would not return this season.

So the question is can Anthony make a comeback or is his TV career over?

He made a step in the right direction by owning up to his mistake. In a statement, Anthony said, “I made a mistake. With the lapse of judgment, I embarrassed many, including myself. I will work to regain the trust I have lost, and the first step is saying that I’m sorry.”

But, if Marv Albert can make a comeback, the odds that Anthony could do the same are pretty high.

In 1997, veteran NBC Sports broadcaster Marv Albert was fired eight months after being charged in a hotel room incident in the Washington, D.C., area. His firing came after he pleaded guilty to lesser charges in connection with an incident involving a female friend. The trial included testimony that Albert wore ladies underwear and had a biting fetish. Albert later returned to the broadcast booth.

As far has we know, Anthony had on men's underwear when he was arrested and didn't bite anyone.

Stay tuned....
