Networks Say They will Stop Airing Ray Rice Elevator Video

After having the video cued up on what appeared to be an endless loop, TV networks are now saying that they are done airing the Ray Rice elevator video.

On Tuesday morning the video aired almost 40 times on the networks in just the 7AM hour alone.

Now, the networks say enough is enough.

"The video has been seen enough for viewers to clearly know what happened, and make their own judgments about what should happen next," said Michael Clemente, executive vice president at Fox News. "Our judgment is that continuing to show it is simply overdoing it for shock value, and not for journalistic reasons."

Because of course the first hundred or so times that they aired it, that was for "journalistic reasons."

Give me a break.
