Sometimes it is hard to tell the fake stories from the real ones that are posted on the Internet.

But, in this case it seemed fairly easy to spot that this story was a hoax. The website College Humor posted a group of photos that they titled "This Is The Most Passive-Aggressive Office Battle We've Ever Seen." The pictures depicted an exchange of break room notes that escalates into a sandwich hostage crisis.

It was funny, but clearly it was not real.

But, it seems that WFLD Fox 32 in Chicago did not get the joke and they wrote about the sandwich story on the station's website.

The idea that someone at the station actually thought this was a real story is a bit scary for the state of Today's TV news.
